Rock Gurglers, Basalt Rock Columns, And Boulders

Just a few photos of a rock quarry in Squamish. Many of these basalt rock columns have been cored and are ready to be shipped+installed in the garden to become a water feature. These are an excellent option for anyone looking to add the look of real stone to their yard. The cost is significantly greater due largely to transportation and installation requirements (large machinery) however the final product is timeless.

These look great year-round. It is recommended that they be drained and the pump be disconnected during the winter when temperatures are below freezing. This will prevent any cracking due to freeze-thaw action caused by expanding ice from within the center hole.

WaterfallNow has in the past installed and created custom designed rock water features with basalt rocks being a large component in the designs. These are a popular water feature (with a resurgence in popularity in recent years) that we have seen spring up all over the Lower Mainland in parts of West Vancouver, White Rock, Surrey, Langley, and in Burnaby particularly in upscale neighborhoods. The higher cost and weight are overcome by the fact that the customer can see exactly what they are buying without having to visualize it first.

For the avid do-it-yourself homeowner/gardener there are a large number of videos online that educate people on how to create your own rock column fountains.

Note that you can add custom LED Lighting in any color or style. This is highly recommended especially if you plan to operate the fountain in the evening and nighttime.

Once you’ve winterized your rock column fountain you will also want to take some steps to winterize your pond.
