Surrey to Surpass Vancouvers Population in 10 years

Surrey is often negatively displayed on news media, print media, and in general. Regardless, the growth potential of this city is very big. Surrey truly is a hidden gem for business expansion.

Have you ever noticed the amount of development that has been taking place in recent years (Surrey in particular)? It is widely expected that Surrey’s population will surpass that of Vancouver in the next 10 to 12 years.

The number of residential building permits being granted shows the boom that’s happening. During the economic crunch in 2009, there were only 2,200 permits issued. Now there have been record breaking numbers since with 4,000 permits granted last year (2013).

“Five or six major developers are currently quietly buying every piece of land from 96th and 108th Avenue,” says Grant Murray, VP of sales for Concord Pacific. http://globalnews.ca/news/653206/surreys-population-projected-to-surpass-vancouvers/
